Zhuojun Dai is a Professor in Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences. She received her B.S. from Zhejiang University. She obtained PhD degree in Chemistry from The Chinese University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Prof. Chi Wu, where she investigated the polymer chain dynamics and interactions between the polycations and polyanions from the view of polymer physics. Then, she undertook postdoctoral training at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Duke University in Prof Lingchong You's lab, where she learned to use synthetic biology tools to engineered bacteria for various purposes. Since September, 2018, she started her lab in Institute of Synthetic Biology at SIAT, CAS, focusing on the living fabrications or biomanufacturing by the programed cells or microbial consortia.
