 
 
  The State Key Laboratory of Biomedical Imaging Science and System (hereinafter referred to as the "Laboratory") is oriented towards the international forefront of medical imaging, and has newly constructed a mathematical and theoretical system for functional imaging. It has prospectively proposed a new principle for detecting extremely weak signals based on physical and chemical amplification, overcome the scientific challenges of medical functional imaging, and build a super-resolution multimodal functional imaging research and development platform that integrates sound, light, electricity, and magnetism. It has achieved comprehensive breakthroughs in imaging theory, core devices, and prototype systems, providing solid support for the development of new generation imaging systems and the advancement of advanced medical diagnosis and treatment technologies.
The laboratory is led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, led by Academician Zheng Hairong, and has 120 fixed personnel. The laboratory has gathered a top scientific research team, including one academician of the CAS Member, seven national outstanding young scholars/Changjiang Scholars, 30 national four young scholars, and 15 candidates of the 100 Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, to provide substantial talent support for the construction and development of the laboratory.
The laboratory team has a solid foundation in the field of medical imaging science and technology systems. In the past decade, they have led a large number of scientific and technological tasks such as the National Key Research Instrument Development Project of the National Natural Science Foundation and the research and development of major scientific instruments and equipment by the Ministry of Science and Technology, leading the transformation of medical equipment at the source; We have achieved a series of internationally influential achievements in supporting imaging theory, material devices, intelligent equipment, and other fields related to high-end medical equipment; We have closely cooperated with leading high-end medical equipment enterprises and won three national awards, including the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress in the field of medical imaging, representing the highest level in China and making outstanding contributions in the field of medical imaging.
