The 4th Asian Synthetic Biology Association (ASBA) Conference will be held from 6-10 January 2025 at the Hotel Fort Canning, Singapore. Founded in 2018, ASBA is an organisation which brings together synthetic biologists in Asia for international collaboration and knowledge exchange. The annual conference this year will feature a series of sessions over five days, which comprises of talks and panel discussions showcasing recent research efforts and achievements of ASBA members in the four research thrusts of the ASBA community.

As a co-organiser this year, SINERGY will anchor a session on Day 2 of the conference with the theme related to “Advancing Synthetic Biology to Market: A Singapore Perspective” to showcase how synthetic biology is being advanced in Singapore. SINERGY industry members and stakeholders from the ecosystem will share industry advancements and provide an overview of synthetic biology’s role in transiting Singapore to the bioeconomy. Additionally, SINERGY will arrange industry talks of during the lunch sessions of the conference to highlight the translation of synthetic biology through spin-offs and entrepreneurship. The speakers will feature ASBA members and local synthetic biology companies who are SINERGY industry members.
