Dr. Byung-Kwan Cho is a professor at the department of biological sciences, KAIST. Before joining the KAIST, he was a project scientist in the Palsson lab at University of California San Diego for seven years. He completed his Ph.D. in the Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering at the Seoul National University (Seoul, Korea). His research projects focus on systems and synthetic biology of microorganisms. To this end, his lab uses  high-throughput data generation platforms such as next-generation sequencing.
