Dr. Jongmin Kim earned his Ph.D. in Biology from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 2007, where he worked under Prof. Erik Winfree on in vitro synthetic transcriptional networks. He completed his B.S. in Life Science summa cum laude from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Korea, in 2000, conducting thesis research on "Purification and Characterization of Caspase" under Prof. Byung-Ha Oh. Before joining IBB, POSTECH, Gyeongbuk, Korea in 2018, he worked as a Senior Scientist in NuProbe USA Inc., Cambridge, MA, USA for a month in 2018, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, Harvard University, Boston, MA, USA under Prof. Peng Yin's supervision from 2014 to 2018, Postdoctoral Scholar in Department of Bioengineering, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA under Prof. Richard Murray's supervision from 2010 to 2014, also a Senior Researcher in CbsBioscience Inc., Daejeon, Korea from 2007 to 2010.
