Prof. Jongmin Kim is an Associate Professor in the Department of Life Sciences at POSTECH, Korea. He earned his Ph.D. from California Institute of Technology (Caltech) under Prof. Erik Winfree and conducted postdoctoral research at California Institute of Technology under Professor Richard Murray and at Wyss Institute of Harvard University under Professor Peng Yin. His research focuses on synthetic biology and nucleic acid nanotechnology; particularly, he has contributed to the construction of complex logic circuits using RNA regulators in microorganisms. His research group is highly interested in the determination of design principles of RNA regulators in bacteria and other organisms, which could be utilized for novel synthetic regulatory circuits. He has published numerous papers in premier journals, including Nature, Nature Chemistry, and Nature Chemical Biology.
