Prof. Baojun Wang is Qiushi Chair Professor, and Director of ZJU-HIC Institute of Synthetic Biology at Zhejiang University. His research focuses on developing new enabling technologies for synthetic biology, and building customized genetic circuits for sensing and computing of multiple cellular and environmental signals, with applications ranging from biosensing, biomanufacturing to biotherapy. Prof. Wang is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and has received many prestigious awards including UK Research and Innovation Future Leaders Fellowship, Gates Foundation Grand Challenges Explorations Award, BBSRC New Investigator Award, Biosensors & Bioelectronics Award, and Changjiang Scholar Chair Professorship by the Ministry of Education of China.
