On November 7, the release event of the synthetic biology automation facility platform & inauguration ceremony of the synthetic biology industry’s patent navigation service platform of Guangming District, Shenzhen was held. Under the guidance of Guangming District Branch of Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation, the event was jointly organized by Shenzhen Synthetic Biology Association and Shenzhen Industrial Innovation Center for Engineering Biology. Li Yujuan, secretary general of Shenzhen Synthetic Biology Association, interpreted the synthetic biology automation facility platform (hereinafter referred to as the platform) and its application patent navigation achievements. Dan Dan, secretary general of Shenzhen Standardization Association, explained in detail the policy and operation of group standards.

Focusing on the development of synthetic biology and the construction of major scientific infrastructure for synthetic biology, the Market Regulation Bureau of Guangming District deploys the platform and its application patent navigation.
Centering on the synthetic biology automation facilities and their application scenarios, an in-depth analysis was conducted on such aspects as industrial situation, policy layout, market environment and patent distribution to lay a foundation for the deployment and cultivation of patents and the construction of a core patent pool, and provide important intellectual property support for the high-quality development of the synthetic biology industry in Shenzhen.

Later, Li Yujuan introduced in detail the research achievements of the “Synthetic Biology Automation Facility Platform and its Application Patent Navigation Project”. Guided by the Market Regulation Bureau of Guangming District, the project was co-implemented by Shenzhen Synthetic Biology Association along with Chengdu Literature and Intelligence Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences, SIAT, Shenzhen Institute of Synthetic Biology, the Synthetic Biology Infrastructure and Shenzhen Industrial Innovation Center for Synthetic Biology.
The report developed the retrieval strategy of related technology patents by establishing a breakdown structure of the synthetic biology automation facility platform and its applied technologies;
Based on patent data, industrial research and expert opinions, a panoramic analysis was conducted on the development of the synthetic biology automation facility platform and its application from the aspects such as industrial development trend, policy and market environment, and global patent analysis.
