The Li(x) lab focuses on combining quantitative data analysis and computational modeling to study biology. Particularly, we are interested in the Tumor Microenvironment.

The Li(x) lab focuses on combining quantitative data analysis and computational modeling to study biology.


Particularly, we are interested in the Tumor Microenvironment:

  1. With quantitative image analysis, we can investigate the spatial patterns of different types of cells in solid tumors.
  2. Based on the quantitative data, we build computational models and test possible mechanisms underlying the spatial patterns of cells in silico.
  3. By further analyzing the omics-data and perturbing the experimental systems, we can validate computational-model predictions in corresponding in vitro/vitro experiments.

We aim at having a comprehensive understanding of key interactions among cells in the tumor microenvironment, which helps to revert the immune-suppressive microenvironment in solid tumors.


The ultimate goal of our research is to understand mechanisms underlying the limitations of current immunotherapies and develop novel therapeutic strategies.


李雪飞,中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院合成生物研究所副研究员。浙江大学物理系本科,香港浸会大学物理系生物物理专业博士,美国莱斯大学博士后。近年来以第一作者身份发表了多篇国际著名学术期刊:PNAS, Frontiers in Oncology等。课题组主要研究方向是将生物数据(图像、基因表达等)的定量分析与计算模型的构建与分析相结合,研究生物系统中的生物物理学问题。其中,课题组着重关注肿瘤微环境中的生物问题,与院内合成生物学团队紧密合作,开展恶性肿瘤治疗的机理研究。
